In this spacious two-bedroom apartment near Canal Saint-Martin, Paris, crafts and raw materials have been put in the spotlight. The floor and the bathroom wall made from polished concrete are unique pieces. They have been designed on site thanks to the expertise of Françoise Espina (Matières et Couleurs company). The cement tiles with geometric patterns, found in the bathroom and kitchen, bring refinement and character to the apartment.
The shades used - blue and green (Farrow & Ball, "Castel Gray" and "Stiffkey Blue" shades) - create a serene space in the large living room ideal to rest of find your inner peace. The sconces, present in all the rooms of the apartment, highlight the colors and distribute a soft light contributing to the feeling of well-being.
The remodel, developed by the Sebastien Markoc agency, has been completed by Ab Rénovation.

« We worked with Sébastien Markoc on the renovation of our 80 m2 apartment in Paris. This is an old apartment in a building dating of the 1900s, which we had just acquired and which needed a good refresh before our move, while retaining the charm of the old (wooden floors, moldings, chimneys) that we did not want to distort. We completely redone the electricity, bathrooms, kitchen, carpentry and paintings of the apartment, and sanded the existing floor. The renovation lasted 4 months and a half. Sébastien guided us on all the stages of this project. - the negotiation of the quotations, and the choice of the service providers, the programming and the electric plan of the apartment - the choice of the materials (bathrooms, kitchen, paintings .. .) - the monitoring of the site through weekly appointments. For this project, Sebastien has met our expectations in terms of decoration and development while taking into account our existing furniture, but he also offered us good ideas in terms of room arrangement (and the creation of a laundry room that is extremely useful), in the design of the kitchen, decoration (choice of paint on the walls, polished concrete in a bathroom with rounded walls, and very wise choices like the Scrignio sliding doors to maximize the space between the bedroom and the dressing room or the laundry and the kitchen, and the fitting of storage spaces ... Sébastien was very professional all along and remained very involved. He gave good advice especially on the matter of paint colors that we would not have dared choosing alone. However we are very happy with it! His great network of professionals also helped us and we are very happy with all the companies which have worked with us. We highly recommend him! »
